MASON HILL- "Against the wall"

These bunch of Scots have been raised with KORN, ALTER BRIDGE, SHINEDOWN and a small part of GNR and less with MAIDEN and METALLICA. Their first album is a next generation alt/metal-arena rock alum. Full of massive guitars, punchy riffs and  up tempo rhythms with the vocals riding on the top, asking for some massive airplay, they deliver their modern ,catchy rock, perfect in every sense.

Melodic, anthemic, check "No regrets", "Against the wall",heavy but not so much to characterize metal, modern  to touch the younger apolitical masses/generations, this is rock music for the I-tunes and Spotify generation. Massive guitars combined with vocals full of today's anxiety at songs like "We pray", "DNA", 'Broken son". The heart breaking ballad at 'Where i belong" is here and every piece of the puzzle is in its place.

After the demise of  original line up of ALICE IN CHAINS, the next generations either emo, nu metal or punk metal, got the dark colors of AIC and infused some pop elements, some FM rock elements and came with a sugar coated version for those who want to rock for the weekend and "suffer" their teenage depression. MASON HILL are among those who know to write excellent corporate rock songs. Their strong point is their songwriting and you will enjoy the album. For how long its up to you as it is as contemporary as inspired.
