Damon Johnson & The get ready-" Battle lessons"

The man who was responsible for some of the best songs in BROTHER CANE and BLACK STAR RIDERS, is coming back on his own. His new band (a power trio) supports his dream, an album full of 70s. A mix of glam rock (David Bowie,Marc Bolan) and THIN LIZZY along with some Alice Cooper (70s era) influences. The album is short in duration like the LPs, only 34 minutes with a great ballad "Love is all you left behind" and a bunch of song in the MOTT THE HOOPLE aesthetic, fast, furious, uplifting as proper hard rock should be. A touch of light ,some pop sensitivities and the singalong of the early 80s along the more star glitter glam feeling create a remarkable album.
