THERAPY?-" Greatest Hits-The Abbey road sessions"
Northern Ireland sonic terrorists ,THERAPY? decided to enter the Abbey Road studios and rerecord a bunch of their most known songs and UK singles. So far ,so good, they even asked James Dean Bradfield of MANIC STREET PREACHERS to give a helping hand with 'Die laughing". For those who may not know, i am a big fan of the band from the early days. The dark nature of their music saved my life a few times, when my outer and inner world was collapsing. At the interview they gave to me for RockHard Grece a couple of years ago, when they were to play at Chania Rock Festival, Andy Cairns what i was really expected. A devoted fan of heavy music. Now they present us some real decent re recordings of their originals, including their cover version of HUSKER DU "Diane". The result is flawless yet soulless. The anger and the distress have been replaced by professionalism and a less sharp attack to brain and ears. On the contrary the accompanying album of live performances ,one song for each album they ever made, keep up the spirit of the heavy metal/punk/industrial bulldozer we are used to witness on stage. So in my humble opinion besides contractual reasons there is no true reason for this album
