Greg Dulli- "Random desire"
The voice of AFGHAN WHIGS returns with a solo album that has all the elements we loved in his band life. Sentiment, soul references, the alternative twist and emotion. "Random desire" is just 37 min long and it could be a vinyl record or an ep in the cd era. Whatever the duration of the album is just a welcome back of a singer with a distinctive voice. Dulli and Lanegan are the voices of the grunge generation growing older, wiser and maturing along with their audience.
This album is a moving reference for all of us who have seen Dulli on stage performing and letting us trip with his passionate performances. Songs like "Marry me", "A ghost" are once more , ore than welcome in a swallow world , where sentiment dies everyday at the gutter of the western big cities.
