Lewis Floyd Henry -"Blues baby"

Lewis Floyd Henry -"Blues baby"

His cover of "Ace of spades' as an one man orchestra gave him wider recognition. Now with his new work of original material "Blues baby" he gets the attention he deserves.
An album based on blues, rockabilly and garage rock that sometimes becomes tedious as his overstretching the songs. On the other hand, his approach to the blues owes a lot to the Delta blues and less to Chicago, a more 50s less late 60s-70s approach and offer us a real down to earth and loyal to tradition artist. The Hendrix influences light up his musical sky from time to time, just to remind us that originality ended when Jimi appeared and reshaped modern rock and blues. "Mr Tripple bypass ", "Transatlantic lady" are among the songs that show his ability to create attracting tunes , being retro and fashionable in the same chord sequence.
He may not be the new Jack Black but he is a real bluesman in soul and approach. His striped to the bone twelve bar blues with the adequate distortion makes some of the songs really exceptional like the 7min "Psycho girl". This is an album aiming for the greasers and blues purists aficionados but definitely a good one.
