TENNESSEE CHAMPAGNE-"Tennessee champagne"

 TENNESSEE CHAMPAGNE-"Tennessee champagne"

Another new Southern act, that was raised with ALLMAN BROTHERS,GRATEFUL DEAD, Soul and Stax, Motown. TS is a band from Elizabethon, TN, in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. This quintet knows how to write good songs, either heavy and laid back like "Silver tongue' with its 70s feeling, or heartbreaking and breathtaking like "Can't get over you" and "Singing to my broken heart', or the SKYNYRD esque "Stompin grounds" .The opener is misleading as 'Wicked' has a lot of resemblances with BLACKBERRY SMOKE, which actually is not a bad thing (i love BBS) but TC have a lot more to offer, than be categorized as a copycat band. They have their own brand of unique mix of soul, southern and blues and it works fine for them. I guess, i have to mention BLACK CROWES as influence as there always around in most of the bands that don't eat from SKYNYRDs hand, because at the end, this is a band with a funky side in their sound and a late 60s style urging for attention through their Southern melodies. At the end of the listening of this album, all i have in my ears is the deep, warm voice of Chris Kelley , the sound of organ and the sound of a band with really nice musical ideas out there for us to enjoy. Champagne of the highest caliber, served chilled with a touch of Southern elegance.
