DIRTY STREETS -"Rough and tumble"

 DIRTY STREETS -"Rough and tumble"

DIRTY STREETS decided to do it the hard way. The Memphis trio went for the real thing. This rough and tumble recording captures the high-energy power trio Dirty Streets live on Ditty TV, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Justin Toland (vocals/guitar), Thomas Storz (vocals/bass), and Andrew Denham (drums/percussion), go through a set of songs culled from their catalogue and throw in two previously un-recorded covers by the great Joe South, 'Walk a Mile in My Shoes' and 'Tell The Truth'. STAX, BLACK CROWES, FACES,SMALL FACES, HUMBLE PIE, AMBOY DUKES,TRAPEZE are all here. Hard rockin blues, soul a bit of funk, blues and a band that nails it down their song with the power trio accuracy and the bluesmen loose feeling. The late 60s, early 70s  feeling is all around this live recording, 'Twink twice' is a great example. A band that know how to deliver their blend of blues rock/soul music with all the pros (soulful vocals, groovy rhythms, tight solos0 and the cons (soulful music in a pro tool world). Get yourself a beer, take a seat at the bar, let the guitar wah wah and the cyclopean bass lines drive you around the American inland and dance your night away. A great live album ,when most of the bands are afraid to strip their sound and try to add layers of musical instruments and production tricks.
