The Dust coda- "Mojo skyline"

Classic rock in modern wrapping.?The best of the FOO FIGHTERS melodic sensibility, the vulgar charm of BLUR , the guitars of THE CULT and a twisted love for 70s Hard rock, especially LED ZEPPELIN in a band that could teaze an angel to drop his wings and grab a beer. In your face Hard rock with pop sensitivities in an album full of power and sweat. From the opener "Demon" to "Jimmy two times" and "Limbo man" DUST CODA play all the cards and win every time. Songs like "Limbo man" have MONSTER MAGNET essence in a more fashionable way. DUST CODA are the evolution of the typical stoner/ retro heavy rock band to a band that plays modern heavy rock with some interesting 70s twists.

DUST CODA are in no way revivalists. You can listen the Australian influences at songs like "Jimmy two times' but you can listen also to the 90s rock bands like REEF, TERRORVISION been all over the album bringing the alternative swing to the traditional hard rock sound. "Bourbon pouring" has the BLACK CROWES essence but not the Southern charm of the Robinson brothers, just a deposition of soul and stripped down melody to carry you away. The closing "Its a jam" is what Mr Plant should listen to leave his country obsessions away and come back on track. Classic rock for the 21st century they say.I strongly disagree. Modern heavy rock that is based on the sound of the 80s/90s to bring heavy rock to the 21st century bored youth, with edge riffs and gravel soaked vocals.
