MOTHER ROAD- "Two"

 

 

Second album from this gathering of well known hard rock musicians, who are A- category but have the flame of creativity still alive. Former SOUL DOCTOR guitarist Chris Lyne and singer Keith Slack (ex-STEELHOUSE LANE, MSG) together  with  drummer Zacky Tsoukas (ex-SOUL DOCTOR) and bassist Barry Sparks (ex-DOKKEN, TED NUGENT, MSG) got on board for MOTHER ROAD album number 2. Hard rock with a 70s touch in an album that could be referred to as retro rock. The main disadvantage for MOTHER ROAD is that they are not hype.Their music is tight 70s influenced hard rock with a spice of glam rock/SMALL FACES, HUMBLE PIE etc but they are not 17 year old youngsters who will be named the next big thing in rock. They are seasoned musicians who like to play their rock hard with some down to earth approach from the earthly vocals to the big fat guitars and the solid drumming. 

 

 

 

If you're into bands like RIVAL SONS, GRETA VAN FLEET, but also CRY FOR LOVE and you like your hard rock solid with a touch of Southern rock influences, and some British rock invasion touches, give these guys a chance, you won't be disappointed.
