Lee Kerslake- 'Eleventeen'

The last album where we can listen from Lee Kerslake, this post death release is filled with emotions. The album is a celebration of his musical life. From the opening lines of 'Cilea Sienna" about the time and the need to say what he has, cause his running out of time, the album is a triumph over death. Hard rock in the vein of  URIAH HEEP, DEEP PURPLE,NWOBHM, classic rock, progressive rock, honky tonk, folk elements all blended in one great last performance. 'Take nothing for granted ' is the best example of the musical spirit of the album. A bitter end yet realistic album where it's creator decides to embrace eternity through his songs and defy the time that demands its toll. Carole King’s You’ve Got A Friend is a nice cover to add to his legacy. Songs like "Home is where the heart is" are nothing less than positively charged great hard rock anthems, that we will miss along with their composer.

The album took three years to get finalized but the results should have brought a huge smile at its creator's face. His voice strong with no sign of the coming end is a guide for the rest of us to enjoy everyday before the inevitable, a kind reminder of the joys of life and the need to be optimistic, creative and down to earth.
