Muddy Manninen - "River flows"

 Muddy Manninen - "River flows"

Manninen second solo album, is female/male fronted blues rock with its origins deep in the Delta and a touch of Chicago electric scene. Muddy Manninen (WISHBONE ASH) is a guitar slinger who knows his game well. The 70s spirit especially bands like Steppenwolf can be found in songs like "(don’t let them put the ) Hoochie on you". The album is diverse from classic blues sounds to more rock oriented even progressive like “Take these blues from me” with the references to Pink Floyd and even Thin Lizzy and that sonic variety makes it great for a laid back listening. The hints from the Shrapnel school of guitar wizards are also easy to find as Manninen is a player who combines sentiment and technique. In conclusion this is an album that would satisfy blues lovers, Southern rock aficionados and guitar lovers.
