Chris Stapleton- 'Starting over"

A new album from the Country/Soul/Rock superstar and another direct hit. Stapelton came to my attention years ago by a friend and then by various articles in the press. Listening to his albums ,I discovered as most of us a soul mate. A man who could put in one song, a girl, a bed, a bottle of whiskey and loneliness and still have you smile by the end of it. In his new work his mind is all around the place from country songs "Starting over" to rock n roll hillbilly wrecking balls "Arkansas" or laid down, broken hearted ballads like "Cold". Stapleton has a gift, his voice and knows how to take advantage of it. Like an emotional rollercoaster this album travels you from low down "Cold" to high ,up the sky "Devil makes me think twice", "Worry Be gone". 

He wears his heart on his sleeve and talks about real life situations ,everyday break ups, downs, and gets more human, than the most. Don't expect him to reinvent country rock. His influences are all around the place, country, 70s rock, soul and he delivers songs as a real songwriter. He could sing along with a guitar or with a symphonic orchestra backing him up and the result will be the same.  A glowing performance from heart, filled with soul.
