Ex GNR guitar man continues his solo career with an album , down to earth ,oozing 70s rock.The early Aluce Cooper influences, the dark colors,the laid back bass lines, the swing,the groove and the striped down guitars are all over the album.This dynamic of austerity along with the primitive groove of the rhythm section and the particular metal of Clakrke's, voice produce an early 70s rock sound that has a lot to be compared with Alice and sometimes AMBOY DUKES. 

 

 

At "Tightwad" we have the participation of Nikki Sixx and Stepehen Perkins, but the overall result stays a t the same 70s shock/glam rock sound. "Rock n roll is getting louder" is a fine example of the sonic example this album indicates. So if you like Hard rock with a swing,take your chances to a veteran of the Hair metal scene who changed direction and embrace his musical roots on his solo career,stripping down his sound to the rock essentials.
