Joe Bonamassa - Royal tea

Joe Bonamassa - "Royal tea"

When Joe met Bernie, the most mature and British Blues oriented album by Mr Bonamassa. Not at all. He may have recorded it at Abbey Road studios and  involved Bernie Marsden (ex WHITESNAKE) at the songwriting but the album is still JB. Modern blues with a twist to the 60s, more inspired this time and with the songs a bit more crafted. If you like JB, this is another album that you'll enjoy. Maybe a bit more than others as the songwriting is top notch and his 60s obsession for the British blues seems to work in favor of him. Otherwise, you won't be appealed by his white boy, clean cut approach to the blues, although in 'Royal Tea" has got a swing that is more personal and more hard rockin' in places. Well whatever i may write if you are into good guitar oriented blues rock from high level musicians, Bonamassa did it again.
