Ramos- "My many sides"

 Ramos- "My many sides"

Ramos (THE STORM,TWO FIRES,HARDLINE ,) releases his first solo album with the participation of a great number of famous melodic rock vocalists. The result is an album of modern hard rock with high level performances and beautiful songs. In these kind of works like Peteriks Wind of change, we tend to focus on the names that participate. But most of the times is some of the songs that stands out that will stay after listening to the album.Tony Ηarnel lends his voice to the Zepelin-esque "Immortal" and it is nice to hear him in this heavier material, especially the easiness that he delivers. The album has a heavier, funkier vibe, close to Hughes work and that differentiates it from the typical Frontiers releases of the latest years. Obviously Ramos having that in mind he gathered names like Liuss,Vaughn,Harnel,Martin, Hess and the much missed Toy Mills plus the very good Joe Retta at 'Same old fears' a song unfamiliar with the melodic style,as it points out at the modern governments issues (US and not only).

The album is full of quality melodic heavy rock songs  with a 70s touch like the excellent, groovy "Too good to be true" that could fit easily to a MR BIG album, or Vaughn at "Blameless blue" with its unique melodic line layover Ramos guitar solo. At the end of listening ,you know Ramos still got it and he delivers a great collection of melodic hard rock songs. The versatility of the album is at the same point its strong point and its weakness. Because in the modern hard rock world you need your personal signature. On the other hand in the spotifying way of listening, some will pick up the songs of their choice and leave the others untouched. Overall ,an album that does not stand at the names of the participants but delivers the goods.
