Jeff Scott Soto - "Wide awake (In my dreamland)"

A new album during the covid 19 days and thank God JSS makes a turn to his more melodic features, that we all needed desperately in these strange times. From the opener "Someone to love"  the album is what we shall and can expect, big hooks, mesmerizing melodies, modern melodic approach "Loves blind"  and  JSS in top form. He knows exactly how to deliver songs that can start a party or escort a heartbreak. Reminiscent of all his previous works but mostly of Malmsteen, TALISMAN and at some parts W.E.T Melody, choruses, groove  check "Love will find a way"  and a definitely modern sound that defines his latest works but not so heavy this time, are the basic elements for another successful album in his discography. The stand out tracks in my humble opinion are the opener "Someone to love", "Paper wings' and "Without you" an old fashion piano led heartbreaking ballad   but in its entity this is a great melodic rock album from one of the greatest voices of our generation.
