AC/DC-  "Power up"

After six year, the swan song (?)  of AC/DC comes during the pandemic to give us exactly what we need. An injection of no borders, straight in your face, rock n roll.

The basic ingredients that make an AC/DC album a success are all present here. Johnson is back to bark and spit his tongue in cheek lyrics. Angus riffs are razor sharp and he plays with the licks his brother left before he got away. Phil Rudd returns and gives the band the swing they needed , the dirt , the grease to let the wheel turn.

The result is an album that is pure AC/DC, maybe not their best but in the vein of their latest works. Some songs stand out easily like "Realize", " "Shot in the dark", "Through the mists of time" a really stand out track with its special melodic line, raunchy rockers like "Kick you when you're down" and the fuzzed up boogie of "Demon fire". After couple times listening at the album you realize that AC/DC did it once again, in their own unique way.

They bring the smile to our face even in the second wave of the worst pandemic. They really powered up themselves and us, we thank you AC/DC.
