Tuba Stockholm- "Reborn"

 

 

Pretty much a surprise, a big one I must say. I was ready to listen  to some dirty ,garage,60-70s infused rock n roll and i was in front of a total surprise. Songs like "You better run" are a mix of T-REX and SWEET while others are so reminiscent of BEATLES, KINKS and late 60s London that makes the album a winner. STATUS QUO,rock n roll, boogie and 70s FM rock have also their influences along with BTO and the mainstream rock classics of the era. Sweden are among the countries that know how to deliver honest and listenable tributes to the great items of rock n roll. TUBA STOCKHOLM delivers that along with catchy refrains, cowbells, boogie rhythms, groovy bass lines and poppy melodies when they dont turn the distortion on and leave it on 11. 

 

 

A great mosaic of sounds and songwriting. From Bowie to MOTT THE HOOPLE and all in between, glam, rock, pop, they have the spirit of great catchy party rock anthems and 'Reborn' is a great album to move your head and dance with, plus when the screams come on the surfcace, Rogel Daltrey must be smiling as a god WHO influence is all around at the more "heavy" parts, i.e 'Changes"
